Review: Sleek Makeup Vintage Romance Palette8/31/2016
As you may know there are sometimes very good deals on amazon. This time I found a special offer for a Sleek Makeup package that includes two lipglosses, one blush and an eyeshadow palette.
Today I will show you the eyeshadow palette that is called "Vintage Romance Palette". It has 12 different vintage shades with quite cute names and a beautiful package.
The package is classic black and very stable in order to take it with you on a trip. The wrapping includes a mirror on the inside and an eyeshadow applicator.
In my opinion the name of the palette fits perfectly to the shades that are included. There are some matte as well as shimmery and metallic shades in very girly and romantic colors. Some shades are perfect for the day others will do a great nigh makeup look.
My first impression was that I want to try them immediately and create a cute look with these beautiful shades. However, sometimes you have to be patient and wait for a good occasion.
These are the first four colors in the palette. "Pretty in Paris" is the lightest shade and is recommended to be used in the inner corner of the eye as well as "Meet in Madrid". In my opinion "Pretty in Paris" will go perfect with a dramatic eye make up at the weekend while "Meet in Madrid" can round up a day time make up look.
"Court in Cannes" and "Lust in LA" look a little bit similar. However, "Court in Connes" is a rose-gold shade while "Lust in LA" is more a gold color.
"Court in Cannes" is suggested as a base for the eye make up. I think it is a color that will look very beautiful especially in the fall time.
So let's move on to the next four colors:
"Romance in Rome" is the darkest of these four shades. I think it will go very well with a pink/purple eye look when it is applied to the outer corner of the eye and blended in.
"Propose in Prague" is a matte shade that can be used as a base for every eye make up. I think this one is great for the daytime look.
The shades "A Vow in Venice" and "Marry in Monte Carlo" are very pretty and romantic. They are perfect for a date night or for just creating a cute Make up look. As you may see the one shade is shimmery than the other even if the color seems to be quite similar.
"Honeymoon in Hollywood" is very similar to "A Vow in Venice" and "Marry in Monte Carlo". It is nice to have a choice between similiar but still different shades in a palette so you can vary in the look.
The last two shades "Bliss in Barcelona", "Forever in Florence" and "Love in London" are colors that are great for contouring the eye. Depending on what shades you used before and how dramatic your eye make up should be you can switch between them.
As you can see in my swatches, all shades are high pigmented and very easy to apply. I think this palette is perfect for the upcoming fall season to create cute and romantic looks.
So what do you think of the palette?
